Frequently Asked Questions

Questions about ice karting

What is ice karting?

Ice karting cannot be compared to regular karting on an asphalt track. Ice karting is all about agility rather than speed. You do try to move through the track as fast as possible by drifting!

Is ice karting dangerous?

No, ice karting is not dangerous. Safety comes first at IceKart Rucphen-Breda, safety rules will be followed at all times.

What is a drift session?

By a drift session, we mean the same as one heat of ice karting.

How long does one heat last?

A heat lasts 12 minutes. A lap takes between 40 and 50 seconds, depending on how fast you master the technique. The first and last lap do not count towards your fastest lap time, so you ride 10 minutes effectively per heat.

How many people ride the ice kart track per drift session?

A maximum of 12 people can enter the ice kart track per drift session.

When can/can't I ice kart?

Are you shorter than 1.40m? Do you have physical complaints? Are you pregnant? Were you able to answer no to all these questions? Then you can go ice karting!

I am taller than average, will I fit in an ice kart?

Our karts are suitable for almost all heights. There is plenty of adjustable space built into the kart. If in doubt, you can always contact us.

Is it possible to ice kart with a leg disability?

Unfortunately no, our icekarts are not adapted to this.

Where can I find the lap times?

Do you have an account? Then you can find your results under the heading ‘My driver profile’.
